This topic relates the utility in to majorly three forms : Initial utility which is the satisfaction consumer derives with the consumption of any commodity at a given point of time . Secondly Marginal utility which is diminshing , zoro and sometimes negative even . Whenever a consumer consumes more and more units of a single commodity the marginal utility goes on diminshing . Another aspect is total utility which is the sum total of utility which consumer gets while the consumption of any commodity , total utility increases, maximum and starts decreasing .
